Red Wings Airlines received a special diploma 'For Developing a New Segment of the Air Transportation Market in Crisis Conditions' at the 24th Wings of Russia national aviation award ceremony named after Evgeny Chibirev. The jury assessed the achievements of Russian airlines and airports in 2020. ''Wings of Russia' is the most prestigious domestic award in the aviation industry.

Red Wings was awarded a diploma for the project of regional transportation using Russian SSJ100 airliners, which aims to develop direct flights between Russian cities and to support the domestic aviation industry. The project was launched in autumn 2020 with the creation of a Red Wings regional base at Koltsovo Airport (Ekaterinburg) and starting flights to nine regional destinations. Now the airline is already operating seven SSJ100 aircraft, flying about 40 regional itineraries from two regional hubs, Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk.

— Our company's success has been recognized by an authoritative jury. This is very pleasing. Yes, 2020 was not an easy year. Still, we, Red Wings and its employees, managed to launch a project for regional, socially important transportation, which is important, on the latest Russian aircraft. Comfortable airliners, affordable fares, optimal schedules, and convenient connections - this is the product we were able to offer passengers in a difficult crisis year. We can see that interest in these flights is growing month by month. The special diploma of the Wings of Russia award confirmed the recognition of our efforts by our colleagues in the industry. We are not planning to slow down, we will develop the itinerary network directly connecting the country's cities with each other,’ said Evgeny Klyucharev, Red Wings CEO, at the ceremony.

Red Wings Airlines is a multiple winner and nominee of the Wings of Russia award. Specializes in scheduled and charter passenger transport, the fleet consists of 24 passenger aircraft: 15 Airbus 320/321, seven Russian regional SSJ100s and two long-range Boeing 777s. Base airports are Domodedovo, Koltsovo (Yekaterinburg), Balandino (Chelyabinsk), Pulkovo (St. Petersburg) and Zhukovsky.
